GerbangIndonesia, Denpasar – The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Indonesia is pleased to announce that applications for the 2026/2027 Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) are now officially open.

All applicants must complete the online application through the official website http://campuschina.org
and upload all corresponding application documents to the system before February 8, 2026.

Please note: There is no need to send any paper materials to the Embassy.

Scholarship Overview:

China–Indonesia Scholarship in Higher Education Program

Available Slots: 20 (for Undergraduate, Master’s, and Doctoral Programs)

Priority Fields: Marine Science, Medicine, Public Health, Tourism, Education, and other key disciplines aligned with Indonesia’s development needs.

Coverage: Full scholarship (tuition, accommodation, medical insurance, and stipend).

Exclusion: International travel expenses are not covered.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must:

Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good physical and mental health.

Undergraduate applicants: High school graduates under the age of 25.

Master’s applicants: Bachelor’s degree holders under the age of 35.

Doctoral applicants: Master’s degree holders under the age of 40.

General scholars: At least high school graduates under the age of 45.

Senior scholars: Master’s degree holders or associate professors (or above) under the age of 50.

Take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) and upload a valid score report when applying for undergraduate programs.

Meet the language proficiency requirements:

HSK Level 3 for Chinese-taught general/senior scholar programs.

HSK Level 4 for Chinese-taught master’s or doctoral programs.

Applicants who obtained a degree from a Chinese university using Chinese as the medium of instruction are exempt from this requirement.

Meet the admission standards of the chosen Chinese university, including academic and language qualifications.

Required Application Documents:

a) Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (in Chinese or English).
b) Passport Information Page – a clear scanned copy of the passport’s photo page.

Passports must be valid for at least 12 months from the expected start of study.

Applicants without a valid passport due to objective reasons may submit supporting documentation verifying name, gender, nationality, and date of birth.
c) Notarized Highest Diploma – if the diploma has not yet been obtained, submit an official certificate of expected graduation.

Non-Chinese or non-English documents must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations.
d) Academic Transcripts – official transcripts for all academic years, with notarized Chinese or English translations if applicable. (*)
